The 16th Annual Mashpee Commons
Street Performers' Festival:
Now scheduled for Friday, October 8, 2004
Columbus Day Weekend
The remnants of Tropical Storm Bonnie are expected to bring heavy rains on Friday August 13th.
We hope you have a safe weekend.
This will be the umpteenth year audiences have crowded
into Mashpee Commons to watch
some of New England (and beyond)'s best street performers. We have contracted
a couple of TIP-TOP acts for this year so without further adieu let
me introduce to you:
|
STITCH
One of the more understated variety acts around, Daniel has become known
for his impeccable timing, cutting wit, surprising
skill and the occasional down-right nutty outburst. While his
simultaneously gentle and not so gentle touch keeps you guessing you
won’t mistake his supurb hat manipulation, gravity defying 18 box
stack, and sheer balance on top of a broken, unsupported ladder. He
packs a punch that leaves you in stitches.
|
He's back! Sound the unicycle horn! He's
back!
Davey the Clown!
Boston's funniest and most beloved family entertainer.
And he plays the accordion too!
|
Kevin McNammara
Charming street musician who plays good time songs,
& encourages kids to dance and brings instruments for them to play
along.
|
Are we lucky? No. Bob Illgen is LUCKY.
But we are lucky to have him.
Quincy Market's highest scoring
(I'm talking audition ratings here.)
performer.
Definitely edgy. Definitely. |
