The 2001 Mashpee Commons
Street Performers' Festival:
August 3 & 4, 2001

This will be the 12th year audiences have crowded into Mashpee Commons to watch some of New England (and beyond, this year, way beyond)'s best street performers. We have a couple of Top Notch acts lined up so let's get to it:

Karl the Klutz -
Master Balloons and stilt-walking!
THE FLAMING BUTTERFLIES!!!
HUMAN FIREWORKS!
A really HOT act  from Down Under. That's right, an International Street Performing Duo from Australia! We've arranged for them to swing by The Cape on their way to the Halifax Street Performer's Festival via Europe. Whew!
Check out their Website at www.pyrotekno.iinet.net.au
ALEXANDER, KING OF JESTERS!
The King is back, Long live the King. It's been seven years since Alex has been at our Fest. He doesn't even do street anymore, but for us he's making an exception. You can't beat that! As for his act...it's unique.

Bandy, the Rodeo Clown
Something a little different. Whip cracking, trick roping, trained dog stunts &
possibly, knife throwing. Don't try this at home...unless you live on a ranch, Dude!
The Suspenders???
We'll let you decide. E-mail me if you want to see us perform at this event once again.
Last year we did out of popular demand.

(Note: We ended up featuring Geoff of The Suspenders  in a solo performance.)
Boston based musicians/comedians: Jason Gardener & Tom Bianchi. Parodies, off-the-cuff banter, and hip originals in a kind of jazz-funk style on drums and bass.
